Yes. The City of Long Beach requires short-term rentals to be registered, and operators must collect and remit Transient Occupancy Tax. Non-primary STR permits are capped citywide, so compliance is important to protect your ability to operate. We handle the permit and tax workflow on your behalf.

Absolutely. Many of our owners live outside Long Beach, across California, or outside the state entirely. Because our team is based directly in Belmont Shore, we act as your hands on the ground — handling every guest issue, turnover, and maintenance coordination locally so distance is never a factor.

The Peninsula is about 15-20 minutes by car from downtown Long Beach, depending on traffic. It's at the southern tip of the city, between the Pacific Ocean and Alamitos Bay. Most guests staying on the Peninsula spend their time at the beach rather than heading downtown.

The Peninsula offers two very different beach experiences. The ocean side has open surf and wide sandy beach — great for older kids and strong swimmers. The bay side (Alamitos Bay) has calm, protected water that's ideal for young children, paddleboarding, and wading. Having both options within a short walk is a huge draw for families.

Summer (June through September) is peak season with the warmest water and most activity. But the Peninsula is enjoyable year-round thanks to Southern California's mild climate. Spring and fall offer fewer crowds and pleasant weather. Winter is quieter but still mild — perfect for beach walks and off-season rates.

Parking on the Peninsula can be challenging during peak summer weekends. Most vacation rentals include parking information in their listing. Street parking is available but fills up on hot days. Many guests bring bikes or use the beach bike path to get around. Off-season, parking is much more manageable.

Yes — the Peninsula connects to Belmont Shore via the beach bike path and local streets. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the start of 2nd Street's dining and shopping. Many guests walk or bike along the bayfront path to reach Belmont Shore restaurants.

The bay side offers kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing with calm, protected water. The ocean side has surfing, bodyboarding, and swimming. Rental shops near Alamitos Bay provide equipment. The dual waterfront access is one of the Peninsula's biggest advantages for active guests.
